My name is Sam, and I am the founder and president of the iTalk communications program at BYU-Idaho. I am pleased to recommend Jared Rosequist to the position of Deputy Communications Director. Jared was the event manager of our iTalk program while he was in attendance at the university. During that time is where I had the opportunity to watch him efficiently utilize both leadership and communication skills.

 

When I chose Jared to be the manager I did so because I could tell he was efficient, organized, knowledgeable, and a leader. He did not let me down. Every task I asked him to perform he did so without having to be told the details of how to accomplish it. But at the same time he did know when to contact me to get more information on how to perform his duties well.

 

Past being a great manager, Jared as a person is a good man. The only time I remember Jared needing to ask for my help was when his wife got sick; It impressed me that, first, he chose to make his wife a priority and second, that he gave me plenty of notice so that we were aware and that he still ensured his duties were taken care of.

 

Jared also has a very eloquent presence. He has a way of carrying on a conversation that is both refreshingly intelligent but does not make the recipient feel uncomfortable. He knows when to add in humor to help everyone feel comfortable and when to hold a serious tone when matters demand respect.

 

Jared is a humble young man. His professional background and education would make him an asset to anyone who needs to get a job accomplished. He knows when to speak, when to listen, when to get working, and how to truly make things progress.
